ALL ABOUT CAMBOURNE DYSLEXIA, TUTORING AND ASSESSING,
I am Katherine Papageorgiou PPM, MDG, MBPsS, PGCE.
I set up my tutoring business in 2002, Cambourne Dyslexia.
Cambourne Tutoring and Assessing has been successfully assisting the children and adults of Cambourne and the surrounding area with various aspects of their education.
I am fully trained and qualified in the following areas;
Maths remediation and assessing (University of Worcester, Level 6)
Dyslexia remediation and assessing (Level 7)
Science, Biology and Psychology (BSc, BA)
TTRS (tm) typing program
Easyread (tm) reading program
I offer full dyslexia and dyscalculia assessments with comprehensive reports and we offer inclusive follow up with the school where necessary or desired.
I offer tutoring in maths, literacy, and science up to GCSE for those who are struggling in particular areas.
I also offer tutoring in A level Psychology and Biology.
I can offer study skills and learning/study support for those who have been bullied or have lost confidence in education as I have counselling skills qualifications.
I also offer group sessions for Home Educators; doing practical work in your own home, teaching you everything you need to know to teach your child maths in a child centred way with lots of practicals and craft activities or just tutoring to GCSE or study skills advice.
I can offer short sessions on advice about child development and coaching your child to overcome their differences.

I am in a position to take on a trainee assessor as an assistant and fellow tutor who would have access to my teaching resources and tests where needed.

Prices and Options
Dyslexia Screener - A phonological awareness test with a short spelling
and word reading test with a short report; price on enquiry
Dyscalculia Screener - A short test of numerosity and a timed maths test with a short report;

Dyslexia Full Report - An assessment includes several batteries of tests and
will take about 5 hours either side of a lunch break. This includes a full report;

Dyscalculia Full Report - An assessment includes several batteries of tests and
will take about 4 hours either side of a lunch break. It includes a full report;
​
Dyslexia and Dyscalculia full report - An assessment may need to be spread over
two days as this can take 7 or 8 hours to do properly. This includes a full report;
​
Extras for adults - ADHD and DCD by negotiation.

Please note; a dyslexia assessment can be lengthened to include dyscalculia, but a surcharge will be payable to cover the difference in cost between the assessments.
I accept bookings from out of area but I do expect you to travel to me for your assessment.
Assessments are carried out over the course of a day and will result in a report of not less than 35 pages including advice and support specific to you and your needs.

Exam Access Arrangements for independent and private candidates as well as being available to your school to assess there. This must be carried out in accordance with the JCQ guidance and so you must contact your Exams Officer at your Exam Centre before booking anything with me.
I currently tutor both on-line and in-person.
All in-person tuition is in my Office.

About me;
Currently I operate as a sole trader with links to a large number of other tutors and assessors across the region.
I have been working as a specialist in dyslexia and dyscalculia for about 22 years. I have been a qualified assessor for 6 years. I can also assess Adults for the educational impact of Dyspraxia (DCD) and ADHD.

Fully qualified and with many years of experience teaching in main stream, private and home education. We offer the best that money can buy in this area with a fully rounded service, supporting study skills and learning for exams or doing science for pleasure. We can offer ideas on careers and guidance and signposting on where your science can take you.
LITERACY TUTORING
We believe that every child has a right to be taught how to read correctly right from the start. However we are aware that this is not always the case and we know just how to help.
With experience in areas such as dyspraxia and fine motor co-ordination as well as specific dyslexia qualifications, we can offer you an unparalleled service in this area.Â
We offer an advanced service in analysing literacy difficulties and supporting them. As a parent of a severely dyslexic child and a dyslexic myself, I understand just what you or your students are going through. In addition, I can offer unrivalled support and advice in overcoming the difficulties you face.
MATHS TUTORING
We, at Cambourne Dyslexia, are passionate about your success in maths. With additional post graduate qualifications in teaching maths to those who are experiencing difficulties, I can support you through all your concerns in this area.
In addition I have experience of taking students through to both GCSE and IGCSE maths.
